“I started training when I was about 14. At first I went to classes at my local gym before or after school, but I eventually ventured into the gym itself. As a kid I loved watching Gladiators and wanted to be just like them and I also dreamed of one day climbing a mountain like Kilimanjaro!

Training for me was all about enjoyment. When I started it always made me feel like I could achieve something and it still does today. It wasn’t until I got older and learned more about the benefits that I really appreciated the positive impact it has.

I’ve trained consistently since my teens and even continued through two pregnancies. I turn 44-years-old in June and haven’t reached this age without some big life challenges. During those times, training has always provided me with time for myself, which in turn has kept me physically and mentally strong. This has meant i’ve been able to enjoy some great adventures with Peter, be a better parent to my children and keep seeking out new professional challenges.

Staying fit and healthy has allowed me to achieve some of my big dreams. Unfortunately, I never got to be a Gladiator, despite auditioning about ten years ago, but I did finally climb Kilimanjaro at the age of 40!

I’ve been part of Perform since day one, supporting Peter and his dream and I am so proud of what he has achieved, especially because I know what good hands his clients are in. Peter makes sure that Perform is different to other gyms by taking the time to get to know what its clients want and why they have started their fitness journey, without judgement and with full support and dedication with a personal touch.

Without being biased the Perform team really is the best around.  Peter has a wealth of knowledge and experience and he and Aaron provide a non-intimidating, supportive and fun environment for their members, regardless of training ability. Every session is fun yet functional and their expertise helps others to make positive changes to their lifestyles. The members are pretty good too – everyone is welcoming and supportive and they are all happy to be on the journey together. It really doesn’t matter what you have or haven’t done in the past, your future self is all that’s important.

Perform is a great place to start building a new stronger and more confident version of yourself. If you’re ready for that journey then the Perform Fitness Family will be there to support you every step of the way!”
